Hey! Bought a Sanyo 4590 at an estate sale for $9. Got it home and found that it played just great - great picture, ff and rew worked fine!! Only problem was that the load/eject didn't work. But as it turns out, it's a great thing. There's a gay porn tape stuck inside. What luck! With my 4590 and a bottle of lotion, I now have a social life. I call the 4590 "Toby," and consider him to be my boyfriend. ;)

I have a Sony SLO-325 that seems to work great. My question is: does it only record in Beta I format, or is there a way to record in II or III? It will play back in any mode, but I want to record with a slower speed to get more minutes on my tape. The tapes I have will only hold 90 minutes in Beta I. Also, if anyone knows how to get my hands on the operator's manual (preferably downloadable and FREE), I would appreciate any suggestions.Thank you.

Of topic post, but I love it when low-life thieving ghetteaux weasels from Long Island get pwn3d on the internet....

Lesson #1 if you "find" a cellphone (or buy it from a cabbie as they're claiming) and you get messages asking you to return it, you better return it cuz if you go and take pictures of your skeevy selves and load personal data to it like your skanky ghetto-ass myspace account, the phone uploads it to the network server where the rightful owner can download it when they activate the replacement phone they had to buy because you're a pathetic dishonest loser...

Hello Guy, Most antisocial degenerates don't give much thought to their hypocrisy and hate, and tend apply the standards they could never possibly achieve themselves to others as a form of wishful thinking about how their lives might have been.

I hope that your buffoonish behavior on this board ultimately yields some at least unintended cathartic good to you for the benefit of everyone. But at some point, you are going to need some outside help. That's obvious.

Believe it.

Hey Guys…

Do you want to tell the world that you are a lowlife loser with nothing better to do than abuse this site? If all you are is a pimple on society’s ass, and all you have to do is spend your life looking at (and then idiotically reporting on this site) what folks buy on “old bay” then all you have to do is sign on using this moniker. At the same time, you can delude your psychotic self that the good folks on this site care. Remember, the only requirement is that you are a no life loser. Be sure to use CAPS liberally while you write your sociopathic text, and then be sure to sign it...thanks in advance, Guy

Hello, I bought this baby back a few months ago and want to help others that might have the same problem..

I bought this 750 on the old bay.

When I plugged it in , all the bells and whistles lit on real bright, BUT when I hit EJECT, I heard a grinding sound and the door didnt open.

I pryed on it with a screw driver and cracked the plastic.. No real damage WEEEE

But then I notice that the idiot seller put too many screws on the fron face plate when they must have cleaned it??

Took these screws out and now the door opens, but a little crooked and wont go back in unless I give it a little help..

The heads are bad , but it looks cool the way the door opens and REMEMBER to look for more screws than are needed.PS...need the heads and gears for crooked door...think heads are 4 head type.***Can 3 or 2 head work? thanks*****Guy

I tried my RMT-148 jog / shuttle wheel with my other working Sonys (SL-2710, HFR70 and HF2000) with funny results. The only one that responds to the wheel is the SL-HF2000, the one with only two heads that is unable to display any decent picture in any other mode than playback. At the price it sold, it would have been fun to enjoy some sfx heads. That, even if far from the 2100, would have made it a good unit with a sleek, modern look.

I also found that all my units respond to the eject button on the remote. A useless function to have on a remote yet it works !

Too bad I couldn't try it on my 900 as it is badly damaged and dead. Well parts of it survived, its head disc found a second life in the 2000.

I once owned a remote that had 14 numeric buttons to select channels. It was silver colored and had channel up/down on the side and a spring loaded slider for the record button. I don't know which model it belonged to. I remember that I could use it to select channels on my 2710, using the "10" button as the zero and the 11-12-13-14 buttons werent used.
