Just wondering how many ED Betas were made because at the time (1988) they were very costly around $1700 to $ 3000 and I don't think that you find one very easily if you did want one, the one I picked up is almost mint even down to the little stickers for the wood sides, I plan on keeping it as long as I can

My personal Betamax page. Sadly the SL-HF 360 no longer functions and even sadder is the fact that our local Beta repairman has passed away.

I never said that.

It's not me who is attacking everyone and making mischief. I have never sent an email in someone else's name. I am not trying to hide anything. And what is your obsession about money? I am not doing it for free (except here) but I am doing this hobby for fun. The balls in your court.

I'm trying to make ammends.

You say I have no shot at doing so.

Are you really this cruel and vindictive.

I feel that the nonsense is over.

Let's make this site better by working together.

If you wish to continue this cancer, than keep up your vitriole and it will all be on your shoulders.

Yeh right, except for Boby, Olive and anyone else you chose to have a go at. You can't carry on the way you do and then expect sympathy, life's not like that. What goes around comes around.

They sell the parts, its up to others if they want to buy them, nothing to do with me. Suppose your going to blame rubber for breaking down now eh? - just take your meds like a good fellow and have a rest.

Michael , Very nice site, well done.

BTW, NOEl, can't you just do the same as Michael did.

You always have a twist and a reason for someone to email you personal for help $$$

His site has no reason to buy each belt and measure and go through all kinds of crap to eventually email and send you money.

Thanks Mike, great help.

Where's K .Lambert? He is our resident Sanyo expert. Perhaps he can add even more sources for what appears to be a dwindling supply. It really appears this could be the beginning of the end for our beloved Betamax VCR's. Even the stupid rubber belts are "drying up" (just kidding).

Stuart,

Glad to hear the SLHF100 EC to UB conversion worked out well for you. Oh and by the way - I am so glad that I live in a country where "freedom of speech" does not mean you have to listen to or do the crap some people say and there is still consideration for others .

cheers mate -Noel

Bad luck about UK suppliers,

Belt kits are still available in Australia from Wes Components. See http://www.wescomponents.com/ The kits don't weigh much so international postage should not be a problem and Wes even sell individual belts. The kits are all called VBK series and are after market ones so you will have to quote the make and model of your machine or check their internet catalogue. For individual belts you might need to quote dimensions.

cheers Noel

Human nature being what it is, means we often don't say thanksenough.

Thanks for all those behind the scenes who provide The Betamax Chatpage. I can't think of anything ever to complain about. Often those who complain the loudest contributethe least. Continue as long as you enjoy it. I can't speak for all but Isuspect the vast majority will agree and will be sad when youfinally announce you are giving this site up. Hopefully not foranother 10 years or so.

Thanks - thanks a hundred times - for the effort you put into thePalsite.

And where did Michael say he was a clothes designer? Or is that some sort of piss-poor insult?
