Beta Betamax and Umatic tapes for sale.

The stock available is property of Films unlimited cc. This company was previously the supplier of Eastman Kodak Professional video and motion picture film to the South African market. All products are brand new and in original sealed packaging. All of these products were originally intended for local broadcast stations that now only use betacam metal tape and a very little Umatic inch tape. The tape we have available is only suitable for standard betacam or consumer application. All tapes are XHG and/or HG.

The following is available: Quantity Umatic KCS 10 250 KCA 10 10 KCA 20 40 KCA 30 550 KCA 50 40 KCA 60 60

Beta - L125 1500 L250 2040 L500 4080 L750 1000

VHS - E180 400 E120 160 E90 240

We are looking to export the entire consignment or the bulk thereof to 1 or a few customers only as South African shipping systems are not geared for US-style delivery systems. Many small orders will not be profitable or possible both economically and logistically.

We are looking for approximately $20 000 onco for the entire lot. Please contact me if you are interested or perhaps know of any other interested parties.

I have recently acquired a BVT-500 to work with my 5850/RM-440 set-up.The problem I have is that the output signal ever so slowly scrolls, about 2-3 lines a second. And not smoothly but in little jumps. It happens both in DUB and Composite outputs.I can't find any adjustments in the manual. Suggestions anybody?

Thanks, Roderick

I just bought a Sony VO-6800 portable recorder on E-Bay.It did not come with a dc power cord or battries.I have finally been able to make up a dc power cord to connect to my ac power supply and the recorder. The machine powers up but does not run.My question is, do you have to have a tape in the machine in order for it to run? Thanks to anyone who knows the answer to this question.Richard [email protected]

Help! I've got a BVU-950 that won't record any signals onto tape. I'm thinking that it's the BC board or the SY board.

Has anyone had this problem before. I don't have another deck to swap cards with, so please help.

Roderick: thats the way a BVU-800 is made - its not as hard on the heads as you might think

Charlie: No - the BVT -800 is designed to work with the BVU series Umatics as a TBC only.

Now I have a question: Have a Fujinon Remote/Rear zoom control and want it to work with a Canon Lens...Seem to remember its as simple as swapping a couple of wires, anyone know more than this?

The Media Archive for Central England (MACE), the regional public sector moving image archive for the UK Midlands is seeking working video equipment across a range of formats.

We would especially like to acquire a working Hi-Band Umatic.

Unfortuately we do have an equipment budget but would cover transport costs. Any donation of equipment would assist in MACE's work to preserve, document and make accessible the moving image heritage of the Midlands.

Need some advise. I have a BVT 800 being offered to me. I (simply) want to preserve some older VHS martial art tapes to DVD.

Will this Sony BVT 800 adapt to a standard VCR and correct the signal for output to my RT2500 video editor? Cannot seem to find the answer other than it works with a BVU unit.

If any suggestions as to an optimum way of acheiving this goal would be very welcome.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi everybody

We are some people here in Denmark who have been happy working with the U-Matic system for many years. Now we work with computer-editing and with systems based on BetacamSP. We have to move to another location, and in our cellar we found some of our loved equipment - we have carried it through storms and water and the gear have helped us coming home with a lot of good stories, good pictures and we sometimes had to say "Thank God for the BVU110 - without it, we would have come home without anything". Some of it have been very helpfull during editing - we feel, we know the location of every buttum. But we dont have room for it anymore - check our web-site and see, if you need any of the items. Some more might turn on there.

Hello. I'm a newbie to U-Matic, and I had a couple of questions. Maybe you people can answer them. I just got ahold of a Sony U-Matic VO-5850. It apparently hasn't been touched forseveral years, and I'm trying to incorporate it into my Edit System.

1. The picture rolls, as if it doesn't have synchronization. Is there a way to fix this?2. I don't get any audio out of the machine, except when I record things on the machine itself. The audio seems to have a 60Hz tone in it as well... but that may be my equipment. Regardless, I don't see any audio on the meters. I get video, but again, it's rolling.

If this can/cannot be easily fixed, or if you have any advice, please send it my way. I'dlike to keep this machine, but if it does't work, then I'll junk it.

P.S. I'll look on E-Bay, but where do you think I could find a service manual for this?

Thanks, -- Tbirdsaw

Hi guys, I'm looking for a manual on a Sony VO-9850P recorder. I have been given the task of working out how to connect up this recorder to a SGI Personal Iris, a Lyon Lamb MINIVAS controller, and a PAL genlock encoder 606P. Unfortunatly there is little documentation on these devices, and even less on how they used to be connected (they were all connected and working, but no-one is left who remembers how). If anyone has information on these devices I would be grateful for a clue.

Oh by the way, this JVC CR-6300U U-Matic is still on auction at Ebay. The bloke auctioning this VCR is in New York, Northen NJ, USA. So if any of you's really want this VCR click here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1376045459 , no one's bidded on it yet and the bid price is currently at $5 and you better hurry because the auction ends in 1 day and 4 hours.

I was surfing Ebay one time and came across a U-Matic VCR with a tuner and timer in it. This model is a JVC CR-6300U dated 1976. It features a VHF/UHF rotary tuners and a cooker clock timer similar to the ones used on the Philips VCR, National Colour Cartridge VCRs and a few other early VCR formats. I've downloaded the pic of this VCR and put it on my website so here's a direct link to the JVC CR-6300U pic http://web.1earth.net/~funkydud/u-matic%20cr6300u.JPG . Anyhow I have a few questions.

Was this model of U-Matic available on the consumer market in the 1970's seeing it has a tuner and a timer?

How popular was this model of U-Matic, and was this model available in Australia?

Were there any other models of U-Matic made with UHF/VHF tuner and clock timer?

Reason I ask is because this is the first time I've seen a U-Matic with a tuner and timer, all the other ones I've seen don't have them because the U-Matic is obviously used mostly for professional applications.

Cheers

Troy

I may as well give you's my web home page it's at http://web.1earth.net/~funkydud/index.html and my website's called "Search for long lost Countdown episodes from the 1970's" which is about getting old deleted episodes of the Australian pop show "Countdown" on early formats of domestic and professional videotape.

I have a like new Sony 4800 and two JVC AA-P44U's with instruction manual. The Sony and one JVC has the RF unit. Location is Arizona, USA. Is there anyone in this austere chat room that may be interested in purchasing these units? I would also possibly be interested in procuring new condition blank tapes for the JVCs because they have a 10 pin camera input.

I have a VO-5850 thatwill record and play it's own tapes fairly well (some distortion) but tapes recorded in it will not play in my VO-5600 or VO-8800 at all. Tapes recorded on the 5600/8800 play on the 5850, but with 5-6 horizontal bars of distortion... any thoughts?

thanks.

Hello! I'm a proud owner of a VP-5000. On some tapes it looks like there's severe head wear (especially Ampex [around white text there's lines and stuff]), but on all the others it's just fine. I don't suspect the heads because it is a deck from the Navy and recently got new heads. LOL! I also didn't know that the front panel flipped upwards! Why didn't anyone tell me! LOL.

Hi evrybody,

My old Sony CCD V -200E Pro has been 3 years resting without use...

2 months ago I intended to use it again, since all the accessories are working fine, but the fatidic green lines appeared in the wiewfinder...

Sony Service cant repair, since this is a "discontiuned" product. The camera needs: - Powersupply system - Optics - Little cappacitor - Roller... (portacarrete, in spanish..)

I guess if anybody here knows where can I repair that device?? I'm so sorry for having to put it to trash...Please you could email any idea. Thanks in advance. Toni.-

I am looking for a service manual for a Sony DXF-40 viewfinder and and CCU-M3 camera controller. Please email me if you have one you don't want or that I can copy. Thanks, Steve By the way, I have a pretty good inventory of spare parts for older Sony U-Matic parts, mostly for VO5800, VO5850, VO6800, and DXC -3000.
