Another Sony 2850 question. When I first turn it on, with no cassette inserted, the main motor and head drum stay on permanently. Is this normal? Once a cassette is inserted, it partially laces up, and then main motor turns off. Rest of machine functions seem to work OK.

If anyone can offer any advice - much appreciated! Thanks,John

I may be able to help you with that, I have a box of brand new Sony U-matic spare parts I bought years ago to maintain my machines. If you could email me (remove all numbers from the address) pictures of the knobs you are after, I'll try and see if I can match them.

You have to use the correct power supply to run a SONY DXC M3A.I Use a SONY CAMERA ADAPTOR CMA 7CE,Now this one is a bit older than the one you should use,but much cheaper.cost me £53 With delivery on ebay, here in the uk. also use the right cable for the camera,I use CCQ-5ar,costs £55 from stanley productions.I feed it into my BVU 950 Via BNC.

Hi John. I too have a Panasonic WV-F70/AG-7450 camcorder. There is a remote control unit for the camera system (WV-RC36) though I dont think it controls recording start/stop functions. Its a shame as I too find it a little ackward when using a tripod. Apart from this, I love the camera. Cheers, moosh101.

Hello everyone!

I work for an e-bay consignment store and I'm not sure if you can help me, but I thought I would ask. I recently got in a Hitachi FP-21 3 tube camera with a tamron 665H zoom lens and an AP40 Power Regulator. I'd like to find out the date these were manufactured and any specs that might be considered significant. Thank you for your time!

Hard to get hold of manuals for the VO5030,Do not know, which country you are in,but you would be better getting a VO5800PS or VO5850, on ebay here in the uk,you can get them for £40 to £50 pounds, last months i bought a VO9850 for £103 with postage,I have a photocopy user guide to 5800/5850,got them for 98 pounds with del and 5800 had a high band mod.got a rm450c for just 47 pounds, thats with postage and now on to the BVU stuff, got now 3 sony bvu 950, got one for 73 pounds, that was with the manuals and postage and the tbc,got one from broadcast supplies for 298,thats with postage and i got one recently on ebay, that was ex reuters for 99p with postage,60 pounds and that was high speed DHL,thanks to a posting on here,i have a manual coming regarding the sony bvu 150, thanks again.

Hi all! I'm looking for the UMATIC PALYER VP 5030 SONY user guide, operative and tecnical manual. I need to understand if the audio out is preamplified and the video have a bnc output... If the player is a low-resolution U-matic, so only Low Resolution BVU can play with it. Does anybody have a pdf of the user manual or any suggestion? Thanks a lot for your attention.

RAY CLEAR: l was near London only a month ago, returning home to Brisbane, Australia last Monday. l would have grabbed those tapes off you when l was over there for 1 month. Dont throw them away too soon, someone will see your message sooner or later and take them for sure!
